Posters & Police Scanners

Well today was made up of study, working on the imfamous Van Gogh Speech again. Going strong so far, will finish it tomorrow a lot to do but i think i can get it done.

Last night went to Maq uni with Mel, Lissa and Lawrence to see a Beautiful mind, which i didn't mind as a movie, funny in parts. Then ended up in maccas for a long time chatting and what-not, enjoying my KFC.

I visited lissa today for a bit and chilled, was nice to see her we played around for a bit on photobooth and picked up mum from the station as the mazda is still in the shop for another week or so due to douche-bag on highway.

So Finally after a month or so of waiting, my Bad religion poster see there*. came! The guy in the states tried to scam my dad by saying the money did'nt come, and after many emails of proof that the money had been sent, it arrived, sus?

I plan to get it framed.....
( copied lissas idea yes, but it is a good one and it want it mint ).

Also i finally got around to finding a police scanner program for my laptop, after my brother mentioned it years ago, and with a few google searches, there it was Police scanner for sydney!
i swear the stuff i heard on that ( discussing with Dom over msn ) was priceless, you couldn't make it up. "Reports of male on small motorbike throwing small objects at houses"
"aboriginal man having argument with his middle eastern neighbor"

Have to design more things for Ian Mcarthurs class. Untill next time

Isms

Today involved working on Van Gogh speech, still not done but i do like my speech plan and intro so far. It shouldn't take me long to finish it up tomorrow.

Last night attended an Anno Domini Gig with Lissa at the Harp Irish pub, it was a good gig apart from standing next to the speaker but i'll take the blame for that. Her pictures of the band turned out really good and i can't wait for the final results.

Mum bought me a book on isms, pretty good timing as i was getting confused and can't seem to remember them all.

I moved my study area to the dining room. heaps more space, so glad i have a laptop for that.

This isn't as bad as facebook when it comes to killing time, you say what you have to say and get off it.

Music

Ok, in recent years my favorite band has been Bad Religion. Was rather happy to see them live last year and would see them again. I like my punk, heavy metal and starting to get back into some rap/hip hop. That being said i have a wide taste of music.

I still have alot of bands i would love to see live, some more then others but the pending list is. Rammstein, Dimmu Borgir, Rise Against, In Flames, Paul McCartney + many others i would like to see but wouldn't be too fussed if i missed them.

I would have to say my music taste did not come out of thin air. Many people got me into the music i listen to today. I have to say some are random such a slipknot when i saw their first self titled album, and same went for Korn's Follow the Leader LP. Elissa got me into the doors, iron maiden, more recently Metallica, Rage against the machine ( more then i was ) and alot more i can't think of the top of my head. My brother for the Limp Bizkit/ Linkin Park faze. Hulstar for the beatles,  ( the hilarious Help Video clip )  People for giving music on my ipod, specifically Dom for a wide range- recently daft punk and Beastie boys and Joel for his punk collection.

List of Bands seen live:  Slipknot, Mudvayne, Blink 182, Black Label Society, Bad Religion, Iron Maiden, Tool, Muse, The Killers, Trivium, Jimmy Eat World, Korn, Static X, Fear Factory, Frenzal Rhomb, Useless ID, StrungOut, Megadeath, Rage Against the Machine, Anti-Flag, Deftones, Unwritten Law, +44, Sunk Loto, MxPx, Hatebreed, Mindless Self Indulgence, Incubus, Offspring,

Another First Start

Bebo, ( not really ) , Myspace, Facebook now blogspot. would be nice to have a place that doesn't move with trends. Dom "inspired" me to write this, i've seen them before however never thought i would get around to making one of my own, don't even know if i will keep it up or get over it.

Remz (gateley) had a cool blog on msn which i read i hope i can return the favor, although i don't own a car and don't do Galston Gorge runs.

I'm 19 and do not want to be 20, Currently studying Bachelor of design ( vis comm ) majoring in graphic design. At the moment i want to get into advertising and product design maybe even corporate identities, now i'm just fine having fun at college with my best friend Lissa and finding out what to do with my career in design.

I have a vast taste in music from Beatles to Dimmu Borgir- Bad religion to Bloc Party. I'll go into more detail later.

Alot of Uni work coming up, speech needs to be finished this weekend. along with Shanghai expo 2010 logo and animation speech to work on, how many classes do u get to do a speech on south park and say why it is good animation vs. Aladdin?

Safe t0 say i am a nOOb at blogging, but thanks for reading, leave a comment and hope to have another one for you guys soon.
